Government Contracts Associate

Position Description

As an associate in our Government Contracts practice, you will be advising high growth government contractor clients on compliance with all aspects of government contracting. You will be part of a dynamic and collegial team with opportunities to work directly with clients and to expand and shape your own practice.

Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., FAR/DFARS), drafting and negotiating agreements (e.g., teaming agreements, prime and subcontract agreements), and government investigations is essential. Additionally, experience with bid protests, suspension and debarment, compliance audits, novations, and small business programs is desirable. A successful candidate will possess great writing skills, strong communication abilities, and consistent attention to detail.

A candidate with experience in corporate/business transactions is a plus. Familiarity with entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial agreements would provide an associate with expanded opportunities to work with experienced corporate counsel to advise our government contractor clients on different aspects of their business.

You can expect to have direct interaction with clients at the outset and responsibility for managing your own matters independently. To the extent you have an interest in supporting our other practice groups you can certainly do so.
