Emily A. Spence is an associate with FH+H. Ms. Spence primarily focuses her practice on government contracts, corporate law, and corporate formation.
Ms. Spence has experience representing clients in bid protests and contract disputes before the Government Accountability Office, the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, and the Armed Service Board of Contract Appeals. Ms. Spence also helps clients navigate disadvantaged business enterprise regulations as well as corporate governance and transactions.
Ms. Spence has previously worked for the Department of Justice and at the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) handling procurement and contract administration matters. Ms. Spence's prior experience also includes work as a government contractor, including participation on several successful bid presentation teams, and helping local small businesses to optimize business operations.
Ms. Spence received her Juris Doctor from Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. At Antonin Scalia Law School, Ms. Spence was the Production Editor on the George Mason Law Review and a member of George Mason Moot Court Board. Ms. Spence also holds a Bachelor of Arts from George Mason University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
