FH+H Attorney Helps Client Register Trade Names in Multiple States

FH+H attorney Megan Paster and the paralegal team helped a corporate client to register trade names in multiple states.

During one of the registrations, the FH+H team noticed a processing error at the state court. FH+H then proactively contacted the state court and successfully resolved the error.

A trade name, also known as a fictitious name or a “doing business as” (DBA) name, allows a corporation to conduct business using a name different from its registration. Unlike a formal business name, many states have fewer registration restrictions for trade names and allow an organization to have multiple trade names. Such flexibility makes trade names an attractive solution for a business’s marketing and branding needs.

FH+H’s corporate practice attorneys help our clients with a wide range of business needs, including business formation, reorganization, corporate governance, compliance, contract and agreement review, mergers and acquisitions, employment- and benefit-related matters, and more.

Note: Case results depend on a variety of unique factors and do not guarantee or predict similar results for future cases.
