Profile

Bradley McConnell is a Partner at FH+H and serves as the head of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Venture Capital Practice. In addition to M&A and VC, Mr. McConnell’s practice includes a wide variety of transactional and corporate matters at all stages of company growth including: company formation, founder stock purchase and buy-sell agreements, debt financing, credit facilities, joint venture agreements, corporate restructuring, spin-offs and spin-outs, employment agreements, non-disclosure/proprietary information agreements, master services agreements, customer contracts, commercial leasing, technology licensing, and general corporate matters.

Mr. McConnell’s more than 25 years of corporate practice – since his early days in the 1990s tech boom – has ranged across many industries, but he has particular expertise and interest working with technology-focused companies and those who invest in them – including companies that straddle the commercial and government contracting sectors. His deep experience working with emerging technology startups, venture financing, M&A deals and initial public offerings has provided him with insights on how to advise growing companies to not only navigate the transaction at hand, but lay a strong framework for the next possible stage of growth.

Previously, Mr. McConnell practiced in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice group at Holland & Knight and the Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Companies practice group at what is now one of the largest firms in the world, DLA Piper. Mr. McConnell was also the co-founder of a legal software as a service (SaaS) company called LegalForte, Inc.

Mr. McConnell earned his juris doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Medieval and Renaissance History from Princeton University. He is licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Mr. McConnell lives in Northern Virginia with his pediatrician wife and two school-aged girls. After taking up golf at 50, he is now working intermittently on bringing his golf game up from atrocious to merely mediocre.
